MALAYSIA are ready to put on a show for the World.
When they host the 1st 'World Cup 2025' in Kuala Lumpur next month.
Top Malaysian pair - Muhammad Soufi Rusli and Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple - are not short of experience at world level.
The 2023 World Bowls bronze medallist are hoping to get it right this time.
"It's not about skills alone ... but involves a lot of psychological play, too," said seasoned campaigner Muhd Soufi with more than 20 years of experience.
Soufi confessed that unless they come up with the right tactical game plan...it would be an uphill task.
"The key is to create a game for the opponents to respond and not allowing them to dictate the game," said Soufi.
While Izzat stressed that "mind games" and "strategic manipulation" decide the final outcome.
"We have learnt a lot from our previous experiences against the top players.
"Our tactical approach and strategy has to be spot on," said Izzat.
Among the hotshots coming are
World No.1 Jason Banks and Paul Foster from Scotland.
Banks clinched the treble (singles, pairs, mixed pairs) at the World Indoor Bowls Championships in England early this year.
While Foster is a 5-time World Open singles champion and 4-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist.⬛
